How to lace formal school shoes
When your kids graduate from wearing self fastening shoes up to knowing how to tie their laces, it’s a huge milestone, so we’re here to help guide you through some different lace tying techniques for their formal school shoes.
Whether their school requires specific guideline to lace their shoes, they’ve accidentally snapped their laces on their current pair. Perhaps even they’ve come brand new from the store or online delivery and need to be laced from scratch – here’s an option of various ways to lace your kids school shoes.
This looks like a little criss-cross over the bridge of the foot – its great for comfort. To recreate this, run the lace across the bottom two eyelets, and then cross them over, feeding them up under the next set of eyelets – repeat this continuing the cross over of the laces until you reach the top eyelet.
This gives an appearance of straight laces across the eyelets – this is a great option for any strict uniform policies as it looks very tidy. It’s mostly conducting using one lace for crossing over, whilst the other end is brought diagonally out through the top eyelet.
This is similar to the traditional lacing style, except you need to alternate the crossovers on the by lacing the criss-cross on the underside of the shoe. However, you’ll need to bring the laces out on the outside – repeat this over under criss-cross until you reach the top eyelets.
