Asics continue to use a full leather upper in the Gel-Cardio Zip 3 and the new sleeker still ensures breathability and flexibility. The main feature of this shoe is the medial size zip closure for ease of fit & release, which also includes a traditional lacing system
Outsole
This midsole/outsole carries a 'Rocker' type system to create a smoother heel to toe transition during the gait cycle while maintaining both stability and comfort
Midsole
When walking compared to running your heel strikes more centrally, so to overcome this Asics have used a walking specific midsole. To ensure that the foot stays in a Neutral position without being overcorrected Asics have also used small amount of DuoMax and Trusstic System for midfoot support. Another feature that ensures comfort is the use of gel cushioning in the heel and forefoot. All of these features allow the foot to move naturally when walking
Interior
For protection and comfort Asics have used a lining with no stitching which creates less irritation especially for those with Diabetes
